Security sources foiled a suicide attack on a camp in North Waziristan’s Mir Ali district, killing at least four terrorists, state television reported. PTV on Friday.
A militant drove an explosive-laden vehicle into the perimeter wall of a security force camp. Three others tried to storm the area on foot and were shot dead outside the camp in what security officials described as a “swift and decisive” response by troops.
Separately, security forces have killed 34 militants described as “India-backed terrorists” during several operations across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa over the past three days, the military’s media wing said in a statement on Thursday.

Fitna al-Khawarij is the state-mandated designation for terrorists associated with the banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), since the war with India in May 2025.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), intelligence-based operations were conducted in North Waziristan, South Waziristan and Bannu districts.

The operations are part of Pakistan’s ongoing counter-terrorism campaign under the vision of “Azm-e-Istehkam” aimed at eliminating foreign-sponsored terrorism from the country.
Operation Azm-e-Istehkam aims to eradicate terrorism and extremism, coordinating armed forces and law enforcement efforts while addressing public concerns to curb extremist tendencies.
