The forecast happens only a few times in Pro Wrestling, and Cody Rhodes and John Cena added another chapter to WWE LORE on Summerslam on Sunday night.
Rhodes defeated Cena to regain the undisputed WWE championship in an epic street match that ended an incredible weekend at Metlife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey. It marked the second title Reign for Rhodes after winning the championship at Wrestlemania 40.
Cena came out to his classic “My Time Is Now” song in a seemingly full circle returns to his babyface ways. The audience at Metlife Stadium broke out, even Rhodes smiled.

But the pleasures went away soon.
It was a street match for the undisputed WWE championship on an evening that already included a wealth of violence. But there were many questions for both competitors who went into the fight. Could Rhod’s patterns a murderer instinct to put Cena away? Does Cena really have to dig deep into her soul to find herself and become superman one last time?
Rhodes took Tyrese Haliburton’s crutch at the back. He slammed the cena on the steel steps, but then also ate the same steps. It was early in the match, but the two proved that they would go a lot to catch the biggest prize in WWE.
Cena first hit the attitude adjustment out of nowhere. He tried to determine rhodes, but to no avail. It was too early to put down the “American nightmare”. Rhodes had already tried to remove the cena of its smaller features, but Cena was clear and not beaten enough.
Almost frustrated and in the head, Rhodes hit a disaster kick and a cody cutter. Still, the PIN trial did not try on the 17-time world champion.
Rhodes then pulled off a step that was technically banned – the pildriver. Cena wouldn’t go down and he played the Opossum a little to stun rhodes with an attitude adjustment shortly after. Both wrestlers were deep into their bag.

The match moved to the outside of the ring and Cena was on the hunt. He hit rhodes with a microphone and then a code red. He cleared the Spanish advertising table and supported Rhodes on his shoulders while standing on Michael Cole and Wade Barrett’s table. Then he hit Rhodes with the attitude adjustment through the Spanish advertising table.

Cena rolled Rhodes back into the ring and tried to attach him. Rhodes still wouldn’t go down.
A more gasp of air and Rhodes was able to counter Cena and hit a cross Rhodes shortly after Cena’s PIN attempt. Rhodes then covered Cena but couldn’t get the three counts.
Frustrations cooked to both men. They took the fight into the crowd – far away from the ring they needed to end the victory. Cena and Rhodes fought around the stadium and back towards the ramp. Cena had Rhodes on his shoulders when the two walked on the elevator, which Rhodes used for his entrance.
Cena then hit another attitude adjustment. Still, he had to get rhoded back in the ring. Cena carried him back to the ring, but Rhodes spent the time getting another burst of adrenaline. When they got back into the ring, Rhodes threw Cena through the table.
Rhodes loosened the rope and pulled it all from its hinges. The lower rope was down and Rhodes used the entire swivel to his advantage. But Cena, ever the veteran, stumbled up rhodes up and strangled rhodes with the rope. Challenger turned tables at Cena once again.
The mark and mistreated the fight carried on.
Rhodes had Cena in a situation. He didn’t hit one, but three crosses Rhodes at Cena. He thought he was done with Cena. He went to pin, but only came to two.
Rhodes then had his amazing kickout. Cena turned Rhodes’ attempt to beat him with the title. Cena spiked two attitude adjustments and then one -third from the middle rope. Still, Cena met his match. Rhodes kicked out on two.

In the last moments, Rhodes put Cena through a table. After Cena was hanging on the ropes, he greeted Cena and hit the cross Rhodes.
One, two, three – Rhodes picked up the victory.
Cena stood in the middle of the ring and signaled that his time was almost up. WWE fans thanked Cena for taking another epic view of professional wrestling.
