Super Bowl 2026 — Meet the quarterbacks
As always, quarterbacks will get much of the attention on Super Bowl night. New England’s Drake Maye has quickly emerged as one of the most talked about players in the league, finishing just behind Matthew Stafford in the NFL MVP race. He will become the youngest quarterback to start a Super Bowl since Dan Marino in 1985.
On the opposite sideline is Seattle’s Sam Darnold, whose journey to this stage has been far less straightforward. After struggling through disappointing stints with the New York Jets and Carolina Panthers, Darnold was even moved on by the Minnesota Vikings last season despite helping them reach the playoffs. He’s been very risk-averse in the playoffs, is that something he’ll continue tonight?
