Who else is part of the cast of The Super Mario Galaxy Movies?

Right now, there’s one character that’s all but confirmed to appear, but two others could also be part of the deal.
On the former, Yoshi, Mario’s trusty dinosaur horse, will be involved. Yoshi’s addition to this sequel’s cast was first teased in one of The Super Mario Bros. Movies post-credits scenes, so it’s inevitable that he’ll have an integral role to play.
We already got a glimpse of what he will look like Super Mario. Galaxy moviealso. As spotted by notable hottie and X/Twitter user Wario64 (see above), leaked images of a Pillsbury cookie box show the adorable, green-hued Nintendo icon’s animated movie form in all its glory.
Given the film’s strong ties to Super Mario Galaxy video game series, I’d be surprised if Rosalina and her star-like companion Luma aren’t involved. Be on the lookout for confirmation of this couple’s casting via the upcoming trailer.
What we know so far about The Super Mario Galaxy Movie
It is only a few months since the first official details of The Super Mario Galaxy Movie the fall. In fact, Nintendo only revealed title, cast and release window for Mario’s next animated film in mid-September. A 30-second teaser, which you can watch above, was also revealed.
So what did we learn? For starters, it will land in theaters worldwide on April 3, 2026. As for the cast, all the major characters who appeared in The Super Mario Bros. Movie – except for Donkey Kong – will return for the sequel.
In the end, the story will draw inspiration from the two Super Mario Galaxy video games, which were released in 2007 and 2010. Based on who appears in that duo, we have an idea of which franchise characters will make their big screen debut in The Super Mario Galaxy Moviealso…

As the above X/Twitter post from Nintendo of America revealed two days ago, it will have its world premiere on Wednesday 12 November at 6am PST / 9am EST / 2pm GMT. So it won’t be long before we’re reunited with Mario and company for their next adventure on the big screen.
