Islamabad:
The Swedish government announced on Monday the resumption of Visa Services in Islamabad following the bilateral political consultations (BPC) between the Foreign Ministry in Pakistan and Sweden, held in Stockholm on July 2.
The decision will facilitate Pakistanis seeking to visit Sweden for short stays, says a Ministry of Press Discharge on Foreign Affairs. Pakistan said it welcomed this positive development, which reflected the strengthening of bilateral connections between the two countries.
With effect from July 7, Pakistani citizens can apply for a Schengen visa within Pakistan for visits to Sweden up to 90 days.
The Pakistani delegation for the bilateral consultations in Stockholm was led by the extra foreign secretary (Europe), while the Swedish side was led by the Director -General of Global Affairs of the Swedish Foreign Ministry.
