We now have an official time for April 2nd Nintendo Switch 2 directly, and it may be surprisingly in line with historic Nintendo Direct Air Times.
Advertised by Nintendo’s regional social channels on X / Twitter, April 2nd Nintendo Direct – which is set to be a full reveal and deeper dive on Nintendo Switch 2 – will go live on 06:00 PT / 9:00 ET / 14:00 GMT / 15:00 CEST. This is about standard for most Nintendo Direct presentations that are typically aired in the morning in the US and afternoon for the UK and European people.
Before this, we had only the general live -date April 2 to go off, which was revealed in the official Nintendo Switch 2 advertising trailer. Now we have actual times set in stone, which will make it easier for budding viewers to plan their days around the presentation (or you know, book free day work, which I unfortunately have no luxury to do. SUKK).

As for what we want to see under Nintendo Switch 2 directly, the company remains tight. While we probably won’t get an exhaustive specifications collapse – at least not the kind you would see from, says PlayStation’s Mark Cerny – it should give us a better idea of what improvements we can expect during the Base Nintendo Switch -hardware .
There are probably plenty of new games revealing, as well as the potential of an official launch date for the system. We already know a brand new Mario Kart The game is on the way thanks to Switch 2 advertising trailer, but could we also get updates about Metroid Prime 4 Beyond and Pokémon Legends: Za? Both are still scheduled for a 2025 release, so you can definitely hope.
