Prolonged Nfl Assistant coach and Tampa Bay Buccaneers, who runs back coach Skip Peete, reportedly collapsed after suffering a “medical episode” on Tuesday during the team’s review practice.

The bouquals released a statement confirming the incident and added that Peete was in steady state after being treated by team medicine staff on site.

“During the morning’s review exercise, coach coach Skip Peeter experienced a medical episode. He was complied with by team medicine staff and was responsive, coherent and stable state before being transported from the site of additional medical evaluations. Further updates will be given when they become available.”

According to Tampa Bay Times, Peete collapsed during the incident.

Head coach Todd Bowles turned to the incident during his press conference with journalists later Tuesday, adding that Peete “was doing well” but would undergo a further evaluation.

“Right now he is coherent and he is doing well. They are running tests right now – for now, dehydrated,” he said, before describing the incident as “very scary.”

Quarterback Baker Mayfield repeated that mood. He said Peete was “alert” immediately after and “made some jokes.”

“At the moment it was much bigger than the football game, especially when you come to work every day with teammates, coaching staff and everyone in the building – when something similar happens to someone close to you, it puts things into perspective.”

Peete is in his third year of Buccaneers. He previously served as running backs coach for Dallas Cowboys (2007-12 and 2020-22), Los Angeles Rams (2016-19) and the then Oakland Raiders (1998-2006).

Peete is the son of former NFL coach Willie Peete and the brother of the former NFL -Quarterback Rodney Peete.
