Minister of Information Attaullah Tarar expressed gratitude to Allah for the successful ending of the operation in Balochistan, resulting in elimination of 33 terrorists involved in Jaffar Express -Capture.
Tarar said of the tragic incident on Wednesday that the operation had been performed effectively, saving the innocent civilians held hostage by militants. He maintained that 21 lives before surgery were lost, including the martyrdom of four soldiers from the Pakistani army.
During the operation, the security forces, including the Pakistani army, Frontier Corps, Special Services Group (SSG) and Air Force, showed great bravery and successfully saved 440 passengers from the hijacked train and transferred them to a safe place.
Tarar also condemned the propaganda about the incident, especially from Indian media, Baloch Liberation Army (Bla) and Pakistan Tehreek-E-Insaf (PTI). He accused these units of spreading a coordinated tale of the attack and suggested that they were trying to exploit the tragedy for their own political gain.
He further criticized PTI for adapting to Indian media and, among other things, and stressed that they should have focused instead on verified information related to the operation. Tarar declared that PTI should be ashamed of creating a false tale and politicizing the question.
The Minister of Information also emphasized that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif had praised the capabilities of Pakistan’s security forces in the performance of the successful operation.
He reiterated that Pakistan would not rest until terrorism is eradicated from the country and he emphasized the government’s obligation to ensure that such events do not occur again.
He assured himself that Pakistan’s armed forces, security agencies, police and rangers remain vigilant and will continue to pursue and understand terrorists. Tarar emphasized the unmanageable decision of the prime minister, the government and the Pakistani army to eradicate terrorism and restore peace in the country.
As for, among other things, Tarar said the terrorist group’s plot had been postponed and averted, and they would not succeed with their dishonest goals. He also claimed that the nation was prepared to face any challenges with courage and determination.
The Minister of Information concluded by mentioning that Prime Minister Shehbaz had spoken to the chief minister of Balochistan and would visit the province the next day to discuss the details and outline the next steps to tackle the attack.
