Big news from Techradar’s best robot wacuum ranking: There is a new top bot in the city – Roborock Qrevo Curv. We absolutely loved this model when we tested it for our Roborock Qrevo Curv Review, but at that time it was just a little too expensive to go to the No. 1 site.
Now the prices are tumbled, value for money has risen, and I have decided that it is time to move it to pole position. It’s not even so old – it came out in October 2024. It’s just that Roborock releases new bots in such a rate that all that is not a 2025 -launch is ripe for a discount.
At list price, Curv costs $ 1,599.99 / £ 1,299.99, but recently I’ve seen it fall as low as $ 899.99 / £ 850. It’s still not cheap (and I include some good alternatives below for them on a tighter budget), but if you can afford it is worth investing. This is a seriously good robot wacuum.
Roborock is probably my favorite Robovac brand. Its bots consistently deliver high build quality, strong cleaning performance and reliable navigation. The experienced reviewer who tested Curv (along with many other Robovacs) calls it its “go-to-brand for reliable, tug-free vacuuming with Smarts Galore”.

Roborock is also known to flame a path when it comes to innovation in this market, and Curv is driven by very almost the latest technique. It recognizes the high thresholds in your home and finds out the best way to climb over each one on board camera can be used to make two-way voice calls for safety or pet insurance purposes, and there is automatic suction adjustment for different floor types.

It also spikes the basics: Mapping is fast and accurate, navigation and obstacle caution reliable, a very powerful 18,500PA suction, double spinning mop pads (one of which can kick out to the side to get up close to the edges of rooms) and a stretching side brush for sweeping in corner.
On the test it Aced it every cleaning task we put into it, and it turned out to be not only a skilled detergent, but a low insert, easy to use one too.
The curved dock takes care of a whole list of maintenance tasks for you. It will charge the bot and empty its trash, but also fill its water tanks and washes and dry its mop pads so they don’t get stinking. And it also looks pretty cool at some kind of space age.
My favorite alternatives
Aren’t you sure Qrevo Curv is right for you? Let’s look at the best alternatives, starting with more affordable options and then – just for fun – to look at what you can get if you blow the budget completely.
If you have less to use, the Dream L40 Ultra and the EUFY X10 Pro Omni are both excellent all -rounded, and depending on appointments it may be in the range of $ 200 / £ 200 smaller than Curv. Or in the budget bracket, I loved both Roborock Q7 M5 and Dream D9 Gen 2, but be aware that you need to get a little more convenient than you would do with a more expensive option.
If money is not a object, even more features are available if you stump up to one of the very latest models. My new Top Premium Robot Vacuum is the Dream X50 Ultra Complete, which has small feet that allows it to scale even higher thresholds than Qrevo Curv can handle. Lidar Tower can also retreat into the robot’s body, allowing it to clean in particularly low -height rooms.
The coronation option in the Roborock setup is Roborock Saros Z70, which has a large robotic arm that clears your socks for you. Slightly less flashy 2025 available to the series is Saros 10, which has an extractible Lidar -Puck that looks like the X50 Ultra’s, and Saros 10R, which has no raised puck at all, but instead uses a second approach to navigation.
However, if you are looking for powerful cleaning and reliable all-round performance without unnecessary bells and whistles, Robroock Qrevo Curv is first on my recommendation list.
