Teddi Mellencamp recently became sincere and opened to his relationship with ex-husband Edwin Arroyave.
The 44-year-old American TV personality appeared on Jamie Kern Lima Show Tuesday, July 29, when she reminded how she and Arroyave paused their divorce after she discovered she has phase 4 brain cancer last February.
Mellencamp said, “I always knew he would do the right thing to me. If he wanted to, he could still archive and end this divorce right now.”
“But my dad [musician John Mellencamp] And the family just said, ‘I don’t think it’s the right thing for her to be able to try to navigate right now or find out.’ It was like of course. No, we’re waiting. We wait until she is better and then we find out, ‘”she revealed.
At one point in the show, The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Alun called Arroyave her “ex-man” and continued to clarify by admitting that she didn’t “know what you call someone you were married to, you filed divorce and then you got cancer, then everything went on to wait.”
For the unwarter, Mellencamp and Arroyave, the 48-year-old TV personality, tied the knot in July 2011, and after 13 years after their marriage she filed for divorce in November 2024.
In particular, this only happened three months before she found out about her melanoma, which was first discovered in 2022, and has now spread to her brain and lungs.
Before her diagnosis, Celebrity Big Brother Star had “not well” and wished she had no barriers with Arroyave with regard to her needs.
“I think men will so often be the protector and the provider and this and that. I just wanted someone to get in bed with me and watch a movie. I wanted someone to collapse with me a little, not fix me,” Teddi Mellencamp explained.
