JHELUM: A murder case has been registered against a man, his wife and two domestic employees after the body of an 18-year-old maid were discovered in a private housing community in the Kala Gujran area of ​​Jhelum.

According to police, the young woman, originally from Okara, was found dead inside the house and was immediately moved to the district headquarters hospital. The preliminary post-mortem revealed visible torture brands on different parts of the body.

The girl’s father, who filed the complaint, claimed that his daughter had been physically assaulted on allegations of jewelry theft. He said she was false accused and exposed to abuse.

A case of murder has now been recorded based on the father’s complaint naming the homeowner, his wife and two employees as accused.

Police have taken a woman and two others in custody for investigation and are conducting Raids to arrest the remaining suspects.

They added that further examination is underway to determine the full circumstances behind the girl’s death. The family has since transported the body to Okara for funeral.
