- Intel Celeron N5095 Driver Terramaster’s Fastest NAS in Consumer Class yet
- Terramaster F4-425’s Firbay’s design allows staggering 120 TB capacity for growing media libraries
- Hardware level 4K H.265 decoding supports smooth plex and amby streaming
Terramaster has introduced F4-425, a four-Bay network replacement device that switches older arm chips for an Intel Celeron N5095 Quad-Core CPU.
The company promotes this as its “fastest” Celeron-based NAS so far and claims an increase of 40% over previous arm-based systems.
It is targeted at home users, but borrows features that are usually found at a higher end storage devices, such as 4 GB of DDR4 memory, a 2.5 GBE network sport and the ability to handle 4K video and decoding.
Massive storage and the controversial Traid technology
The switch to the Intel X86 architecture places it closer to Entry-Level Enterprise devices while still marketing as a consumer solution.
F4-425 supports up to 120 TB through four 30TB drives, giving households and small creative teams plenty of ceiling height.
Terramaster’s new Traid feature is the most talked about addition that promises up to 30% greater storage efficiency than traditional raid without sacrificing redundancy.
Although it sounds appealing, the requirement guarantees control, as efficiency gains often involve trade -offs or recovery speed.
Data protection also includes SPC security settings, 256-bit TLS encryption, TFSS snapshots and compatibility with cloudSync platforms such as Google Drive, OneDrive and Dropbox.
Terramaster throws F4-425 as a multimedia hub that supports 4.265 decoding and direct streaming via Plex, Emby, Jellyfin or UPNP/DLNA.
Integrated Terraphotos AI algorithms can sort images by faces, pets and scenes that potentially reduce manual organizational tasks.
The TNAS mobile app allows the first setup without a PC and enables local or television synchronization for smartphone security copies.
TerraSync adds filmillisondele-level synchronization and a 32-version recovery system, while the push-lock tool-free design claims to install drive in ten seconds.
Low noise levels of 21DB (A) are promoted as another home -friendly function.
F4-425 is listed for £ 369.99 in the UK and $ 369.99 in the US with a temporary 10% discount.
This price makes it attractive to home users or small studios.
While Intel’s N5095 chip is faster than many arm options, the real world depends on network conditions, driving quality and firmware maturation.
