NEWYou can now listen to Pakinomist articles!

Terron Armstead withdrew from the NFL after 12 seasons with New Orleans Saints and Miami Dolphins, and he has not spared any details when he explains why now is the right time to go away from the game.

This is the first time since he was 5 years old, a total of 28 years that he is not playing for a football team in the fall. However, Armstead shared some violent injury stories that caused the offensive tackle to hang up with his bricks.

Why did the 33-year-old share his journey to personal injury? Now on the outside he looks in, he will be the voice of players going through similar situations in the NFL today.

“Now that I’m done, I’d like to start sharing more of my stories because there are players actively playing who have to do with similar situations,” he told Pakinomist Digital at Fanatics party Friday.

“So I want to be a voice for them and give the fans the opportunity to know that they can’t necessarily talk about their injury. Because you never want these built -in apologies before a game that ‘I lost on this spectacle because of my knee.’ Do you know what I mean?

The NFL Pro Bowler shares devastating toll damage claimed career: ‘Literally couldn’t go’

For NFL fans, it is sometimes lost in the heat from competition, and highlighting wheels play how much of a toll the 17-game-plus season can take on a player’s body, especially a lineman like Armstead. Years of training and competition at Gridiron take his toll, and Armstead said his suffering was a knee injury that he constantly had to fight through since his third year in the league.

“I didn’t see a field of practice at all, and not because I didn’t want to, or the dolphins just wanted me to rest. It’s as if I was literally unable to go,” he said during a performance at the “Nightcap Show.”

“After a game on Sunday, I wouldn’t be able to go on my own, under my own power, until Wednesday, Thursday. So I was only able to play under the pain medicines. I couldn’t put any pressure on my knee, so it was like I can’t keep doing it for myself.”

So no, Armstead won’t be one of the retirees who gets the urge to get back on the field next week 1.

“I think I’m done I’m at peace with it. I’m excited to be on this page to talk about the game, share my knowledge and experience.

“After being in the game so long and playing football so long ago five years old, it’s definitely bittersweet. It’s my first year without it after 28 years, so I want to see how this life is going to be without football. I’m so grateful and appreciated for it, but I’m excited about my future.”

While he may be out of the sidelines, Armstead still wants to influence the game, he loves much, especially for those players who continue to put their bodies on the line every year to hunt for a Super Bowl title with their teammates.
