The military said a sanitization operation was carried out in the area. The deeds of this abhorrent act would be brought to justice, said it, adding that “such victims of our brave men further strengthen the decision of the security forces determined to eliminate the threat of terrorism”.
Elsewhere, security forces conducted an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in the general area of Jani Khel in the Bannu district of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (KP) on Monday on the reported presence of Khwarij, the military said in a separate statement.
“During the performance of Operation, the own troops effectively engaged the KHWARIJ location, as a result of three khwarij being sent to hell while nine Khwarih was injured,” it said, adding: “Sanitization operation is performed to eliminate any other Kharji found in the area, as security forces in Pakistan are determined to wipe out the threat of terrorism from the country.
The terrorist attacks came days after the security forces removed at least 30 terrorists in three separate military engagements in KP. “On January 24, 2025, 30 Khwarij was killed in three separate engagements in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Province,” ISPR said in a statement on Saturday night. The military engagements took place in Lakki Marwat, Karak and Khyber Districts.
President Asif Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif have famous security forces for killing eight Khwarij in Qila Abdullah and Bannu districts and hailed to Naik Tahir Khan and Lance Naik Tahir Iqbal, which embraced martyrdom during operation.
In their separate statements, they praised the martyrs’ patriotism and courage and expanded compassion for their families. They asked for the higher status in the sky for the martyrs and also came with the deprived families.
