Lakki Marwat:
A tough pistol fight in Lakki Marwat’s Kot Kashmir area on Wednesday left three terrorists died, including an important local militant commander, while a police constable embraced martyrdom in the duty of duty.
According to a statement from Lakki Marwat Police spokesman Shahid Marwat, “In the exchange of fire, three Khawarij, including an important local terrorist, commander Chhota Waseem Gundi Khankhel, was killed”.
The meeting broke out after police received the intelligence that a group of militants were moving from Gundi towards Kot Kashmir.
To act quickly on directives from Bannu Regional police officer Sajjad Khan and district police officer Jawad Ishaq, the local police, along with members of the area’s peace committee, pursued the suspects.
The militants were captured in Kot Kashmir, where they opened fire against the progressive police and volunteers.
A heavy exchange of gunfire occurred. A terrorist was neutralized on the spot, while two others retired in a nearby house and tried to use women and children inside as human shields, the statement states.
“However, the police surrounded the house and continued the fight with great skill that lasted for two hours. At the same time, the police strategically took women and children caught in the house and continued the fight with the terrorists there and killed them,” the statement states.
In the middle of the cross -fire, police constable Shahidullah Gundi Khankhel applied critical injuries. He was rushed to District Headquarters Hospital, but succumbed to his wounds along the way.
“Policeman Shahidullah Gundi Khankhel was seriously injured and sent to District Headquarters Hospital, where he was embraced martyrdom while he succumbed to his injuries along the way,” the police declared declaration.
