A terrorist department (CTD) official’s brother, even a constable, was martyrated in a terrorist attack on the evening in the Bannu district of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, where heavily armed terrorists stormed the family’s residence, opened fire and later set the house on fire.
Police told The Express Pakinomist that about 20-25 heavily armed terrorists surrounded the home to CTD -Official Javed and his brother, Constable Rafidullah, in the Hovid Police Station’s Jurisdiction late at night.
The assailants opened unresolved fire. Despite being over, Constable Rafidullah opposite and fought back with remarkable courage. He was overpowered and taken away with his two nephews.
All three were kidnapped and the terrorists also burned the house before fled. Later, Rafidullah was killed and his body was found dumped in open fields. The two boys were still missing.
Shortly after the assault, the District Police Officer (DPO) Bannu, Saleem Abbas Kulachi, reached the place with a heavy quota of law enforcement staff. A search operation was launched under his direct supervision to track and understand attackers.
The funeral of Constable Rafidullah was later held at Bannu -police lines with full official honors. A political quota presented an honorary guard while senior officers placed flower wreaths on the martyr’s coffin. The ceremony participated in you Bannu -Region Sajjad Khan, SP CTD Fazal Wahid, SP City Tohid Khan, SP -Investigation Sajid Mumtaz along with a large number of police officers, constables and martyr’s family members.
