Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton announced a study by USA hencing on Tuesday after Fencer Stephanie Turner’s protest against competing with a transgender athlete.

Turner’s decision to take a knee, receive a black card and eventually be expelled from an event earlier this month, USA hencings transgender-athlete policy put in the limelight. Paxton said in a statement that officials investigated whether the organization broke Texas State Law.

Paxton’s probe seems to “reveal documents related to the United States fence that potentially engage in false, misleading and misleading actions and practice”, according to a news message.

“The US fence is on the wrong side of the story and potentially the wrong side of the law due to violations of Texas consumer protection laws,” Paxton said in a statement. “The US hencings policies are not only potentially illegal, but also deeply insulting for the young women like Stephanie Turner, who have sacrificed so much and dedicated countless hours to compete and succeed in competitions.

“I will fight to stop these unreasonable policies and I will never return from defending the integrity of women’s sports.”

Turner refused to compete against Trans -Competition Redmond Sullivan at Cherry Blossom Open in Maryland. Turner received a black card for her decision to take a knee, which led to her expulsion from the tournament for serious violations or unsportsmanlike behavior.

“I knew what I had to do because USA fence hadn’t listened to women’s objections about [its gender eligibility policy]”Turner told Pakinomist digital in an interview last week.” I immediately took a knee at the time. Redmond was under the impression that I was going to start fences. So when I took my knee, I looked at the judge and I said, ‘I’m sorry I can’t do this. I am a woman and this is a man. And this is a women’s tournament. And I don’t want to fence this person. ” ”

The United States fence defended its trans-inclusion policy last week.

“The US Fence remains obliged to promote an inclusive, respectful society for everyone in our sport. We believe in the principle of creating safe communities where all athletes and members of the community have a place,” the statement reads.

“While we understand that there are a number of perspectives, US hencing will continue to engage in respectful, research-based dialogue and review as the policy evolves in the Olympic and Paralympic movement as well as domestic law, hatred of any kind is not acceptable-online or personal. Let’s keep the conversation respectful and strip that welcomes everything.”
