The government has finalized the framework for the 27th constitutional amendment and is expected to secure its approval from both houses of parliament next week, sources told The Express Pakinomist on Tuesday.
According to the sources, the government has finalized the draft of the amendment and decided to present it first in the Senate before moving it to the National Assembly for approval. The bill is expected to be tabled in the Upper House on Friday.
Sources said the Ministry of Law and Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs have already conveyed the decision to the Senate Secretariat.
