Apple’s WWDC 2025 show starts at Apple Park at. 10 PT / 13:00 ET / 18:00 BST on June 9, 2025 – which means we are now very close to seeing the next generation of software for iPhones, MacBooks, Apple Watches and more.
So what should we expect from one of Apple’s biggest events of the year? While product launches at WWDC are unusual and unexpected but not unheard of, this is the keynote speaker that sets the tone of Apple’s whole year. By showing us what the next version of iOS will look like, it sets the stage for the release of the iPhone 17 lineup, which most people expect to happen in September.
WWDC 2025 also marks the first anniversary of the introduction of Apple Intelligence. Given that Apple only managed to deliver part of what was promised in June 2024, it is unclear how Apple will approach this AI Conundrum.
There are several reports of unrest behind the scenes when Apple switches off its Apple Intelligence team and is trying to revive the efforts to deliver a transformed Siri that can compete with Gemini and Chatgpt.
Some believe Apple will not mention Siri, but will focus on Apple Intelligence as it is and name some functional improvements. It is unlikely that it will promise any eye-opening generative features, especially after over-law a year ago.
Let’s look at what we and other Apple experts, Do Expect Tim Cook and the company to reveal on June 9 …
1. IOS 26 lands with a fresh redesign
We are very unlikely to see Apple commit to a brand new Siri on WWDC 2025, but we may get a tip for what’s coming. After all, how can Apple deliver iOS 26 (yes, Apple is rumored to switch to year-based software names) without a new, Apple Intelligence Siri experience?
A more concrete idea of what to expect has emerged from Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, where his predictions on June 6 were particularly extensive. According to the well-connected Apple reporter, the biggest change will be a new software design based on Visionos.
It will mean lots of “digital glass” plus “light and transparency” through iOS 26 and Apple’s other operating systems. Why Apple would use its wobbly mixed reality headset platform as a basic look is a conundrum to be solved on June 9th.
Compared to this redesign, the other new iOS 26 features may seem a bit along the way. Apparently, there will be a new, dedicated game app to access to Apple Arcade, plus other upgrades such as AI-driven battery management. Still, three of Apple’s own apps – the phone, Safari and Camera App – are apparent due to “significant renewals” where the latter benefits from a useful declutter.
According to Techradar’s phones expert James Rogerson, we are unlikely to see a lot in the way of AI-driven photo editing tools or SIRI improvements. But a long shot feature that we could see is an AI upgrade to Apple’s Health app.
2. IPados 26 gets Mac-like features

It will be fascinating to hear how Apple Execs explains what we are assuming will be a deeper merger between the functionality of iPados and MacOS in iPados 26 (which could also be iPados 19 if Apple is holding its current Name Convention).
Techradar’s iPad veteran Jamie Richards says Better Multitasking is high on his list of expected iPados improvements on WWDC 2025, based on the combination of a clear need and rumors from noticeable tips like Majin BU, which has predicted a stage manager -inspection.
Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman has supported this with claims that “Apple is completely renewed multitasking features on iPad to be more Mac-like”. Finally! The bad news? This can mean you have to connect your iPad to expensive accessories such as Apple’s magic keyboard.
Apple may do all this because there has long been a requirement to get the iPad -Match -Mac -Mac -Mac files on desktop capacities. Yes, we know it’s a tablet, but many now use iPads with a physical keyboard and treat them like lightweight laptops. However, the inability to support more than, for example, four windows open at once and interface adaptation that matches a Mac is a frustration.
However, messages here will be critical. Apple should inspire new iPad converts while satisfying and not scaring the iPad stalwarts that have been using the tablet since its inception in 2010.
3. A game push to macOS 26

Most people expect Apple Software Leading Craig Federighi to reveal a larger macOS 26 -Redesign -one who, with iOS 26, is expected to borrow from Vision Pro -Interface.
While the gaze and gesture -based interface of the headset are well thought out, it is difficult to understand exactly how this will work on Mac. Certainly, Federighi will have some exciting demos to share.
There is a thought that this may be the moment Apple finally reveals a touch -friendly makos. After all, we expect Apple to push iPados and macos closer together (see above). However, put this one in the category ‘outside bets’.
A more likely scenario is, according to a Bloomberg report, a new game app. This will theoretically connect Apple’s game characteristics, like Apple Arcade, and play downloaded from the App Store. But on Macs it could also collect games that were downloaded from other third -party sources.
Other focus areas for the macOS 26 part of keynote-which apparently will feel us ‘tahoe’-siges to be better wi-fi control, new battery controls, Google Gemini integration and of course the unveiling of the all important name
4. Apple Watch Ultra-friendly fitness features

There is one from the outside
Health and fitness editor Matt Evans added some color, “Blood pressure via LED remains the holy grail of watches, but whoop mg comes around this by using a cuff to measure BP as a baseline and then estimates oscillations based on other vital signs like heart health.”
Evans also noted that Apple Intelligence for Basic Features Possibly Coming to Apple Watch. Again, it is unlikely to be a major update of Apple Intelligence functionality, but rather a port for what you can do in iOS, but with a portable taste.
Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman now seems less convinced that we will see something on this scale of the WWDC 2025-Refrigerate Worship of Apple’s Health app and the AI-Doctor-based service, he says “none of them will be shown on WWDC” due to delays. We still remain optimistic that we may get a teaser that shows what is coming, even if a full launch is still a way away.
A more realistic focus, according to Techradar Fitness contributor Lloyd Coombes, is on outdoor training tracking features that use robustness and rucking-friendly features of the ultra-series-ice-cream as a Apple Watch Ultra 3 expected to land later in the year.
5. A smarter tvos

I asked Matt Bolton, our CEO editor, Entertainment, about what could be announced to the next version of TVOS, the platform running inside your Apple TV streaming box. He told me that we should finally expect to see some intelligences in Tvos.
“In tvos, you are likely to be able to ask for movies and show more organic, even if you don’t know the name-or asks for recommendations based on what you like. This is really common in other AI-Touting smart streaming devices.”
Bolton is also looking forward to Tvo’s redesign with some reservations. “The aesthetic idea I imagine is a Home screen that has a 3D layer sharing element that looks like Visionos. The appicons flow in front, with a picture behind them – and hopefully something more interesting than an ordinary background,” he said. The potential problem with background video is that it is abused by trailers or ads for shows, but it seems unlikely that Apple would take this route.
According to macumors, we can actually expect Visionos-style to redesign, which is expected to grace iOS 26, MacOS 26 and more, will also come to Tvos. Fortunately for those with older boxes, the new TVOS 26 could also support boxes as far back as Apple TV HD from 2015 along with the subsequent three generations of Apple TV 4K.
6. Live Translate to AirPods

On AirPods, Techradar’s Matt Bolton “AI-based live translation and generally expect a smarter SIRI conversation,” Depending on how far Apple Intelligence goes in Siri.
This violation has since been backed up by Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, who says Apple “prepares translations of live conversations to AirPods carriers”, with its Translate app also “Integrated across its operating systems like Apple Intelligence function”.
What Bolton hopes also hope to look at the Airpods front is “Bluetooth Le Audio and Auracast Support built into iOS, with matching Airpods support. This would allow for higher quality wireless music quality and better accessibility.”
With some other recent rumors that predict that AirPods could also get more gestus control and sleep detection on WWDC 2025, it could be a fruitful show for owners of Apple’s wireless earplugs.
7. One thing for – iPhone 17 Air Teaser?

When it comes to an Apple Keynote, never rule out a surprise. Previously, we got a glimpse of a new Mac Pro, new MacBooks and Vision Pro.
This year, new Macs are a very outside option, as is mixed reality and AR headwear, like a Vision Pro Lite and Apple Glasses.
There is also the slightest chance that Tim Cook could tease Apple’s first folded iPhone or, more likely, even the ultra-thin iPhone 17 air.
Let’s realize that, Apple needs some Razzle-Dazzle this year to distract from what has been a somewhat uneven 12-month trip. And the iPhone 17 air rumors have ramped up recently, with the recent whispers that predict it will be even leaner than the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge of only 5.5 mm thick.
