The boys‘The Creator, Eric Kripke, has wrapped up filming the fifth and final season of the show.
By taking it to his Instagram account, Kripke shared a photo of him on set for the last time.
He has also written a heartfelt note, “This is the last time I will ever be on this set. It will soon be torn down.
“It’s bitter, but my primary feeling is gratitude,” he added.
The producer expressed gratitude to the role crew and continued, “We have the best role crew, the best crew, the most fun story to write and something that is impossible to predict: the real timing.”
Recurrent role crew members include Jack Quaid, Karl Urban, Laz Alonso, Erin Moriarty, Antony Starr, Chace Crawford and Dominique Mcelligott.
“You wait for your whole career to have maybe two of these things if you’re lucky. We got them all. To #thoys Family: Thank you, I love you all. To the fans: Thanks for seeing, can’t wait for you to see the Grand Final. It’s a wrapping,” Kripke concluded.
In December 2024, on a FYC panel, he admitted that he enjoyed creative freedom to write the fifth season.
“It’s really fun when it’s the end,” he said. “It’s hard, and it’s not yet hit me about the feeling of it. But just from a history point of, you don’t have to keep stories in a season beyond what really lets you blow the doors of it in a really exciting way.”
The last season of The boys, that includes 8 episodes is expected to be released by 2026.
