The British Council Pakistan has announced that all studies planned for today will move on as planned, despite increased military tension between Pakistan and India.
In an official statement published on its Facebook page, the organization said, “All exams scheduled for today will continue as scheduled. We will keep you updated if there are changes.”
Students were asked to contact their respective schools or the Customer Service Center in the event of private candidates for any exam -related queries.
This message comes in the midst of a fleeting situation along the control line (LOC), where military actions between Pakistan and India have been intensified.
The escalation followed India’s strikes in several places in Pakistan, reportedly in response to the killing of over two dozen tourists in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).
India has blamed Pakistan for the incident, a claim that Islamabad has severely denied.
In return, the Pakistani army lowered five Indian fighter jets and a fighting drone in response to unprovoked aggression and violations of the airspace.
Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry confirmed on Wednesday that 26 civilians were martyrated and 46 others wounded in Indian air strikes overnight aimed at several civilian areas over Pakistan.
Previously, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz declared an emergency throughout the province and ordered the closure of all educational institutions following a series of Indian missile attacks that targeted civilian areas, which led to a rapid military reaction from Pakistan.
