Olivia Williams, the star of The crownfacing cancer. But in a recent update, she revealed that she will never be free of it.
During an interview with The times, The actress shared her journey, which she faced several health problems, including prolonged fatigue, chronic diarrhea and limbs.
But her case was first mistakenly diagnosed with lupus and perimenopause, and it took four years after the cancer tumor was found in her pancreas in 2018.
“If anyone had ****** well diagnosed me for those four years, I would have said I was sick when they told me I was menopausal or had irritable bowel syndrome or [was] Crazy, “the 56-year-old said.
She continued, “I used the word that recommended because a doctor mentioned me to a psychiatric assessment-so could have an operation cleared it all, and I could describe myself as cancer-free, which I can never be now.”
It took “21 medical visits” to properly diagnose the problem. Despite the removal of the initial tumor, the cancer had spread to other parts of the body.
“I go in like a puppy with this optimistic, bright face, and then they give me bad news, and it’s like,” Oh my god, I fell for it again, “she said.
“They’ve found new metastases pretty good either just before Christmas or in the middle of a summer vacation,” the actress noted.
“Then for three years in a row they started to emerge too close to larger blood vessels for Zap. So there was a period when we just sat watching them grow, which is a terrible feeling,” Olivia concluded.
