- The first DJI Osmo Pocket 4 leaks are shown
- We could get an extra sensor and an additional screen
- It’s not clear when DJI’s next gimbal camera may be launched
In our DJI Osmo Pocket 3 review, we gave Gimbal Camera 4.5 stars out of 5 and declared it was “class leader”. In fact, it is still in the top location of our best vlogging cameras guide two years later, so expectations are high for the follow-up and we have just seen the first leaks for DJI Osmo Pocket 4.
Spicy Tipster @quadro_News has sent a picture of what is described as a “Pocket 4-Prototype” and we also have a few different pictures of the camera from the well-known delicious fixed focus digital as well.
None of these images are of particularly high quality, but they give us an idea of how the design of the device can change this time. It seems that we may be getting another camera sensor to improve photo and video recording and potentially to expand the types of shots that can be caught.
In addition, it seems that there could be screens on both the front and the back of the camera, although it is not clearly exactly how they can be used. Two screens can also look up the price from $ 519 / £ 489 / AU $ 849 – if it ever hits US stores – but we’ll have to wait and see.

DJI Osmo Pocket 3, launched in October 2023, is a relatively expensive bit of kit – but it does enough in terms of features and video quality to justify the price. It was also quite a significant upgrade over pocket 2 that came in front of it.
Since these are the first leaks we have seen around DJI Osmo Pocket 4, we do not know too much about what we can expect from upgrades this time, although further improvements in camera sensors and photo and video resolutions are likely.
More internal storage would certainly be welcome, while the two screens would be an exciting upgrade – possibly enabling more recording conditions or features (and maybe making selfies easier). It is plausible that we also see upgrades in other areas, including tracking features and audio recording.
There was a three-year gap between pocket 2 and pocket 3, so we may have to wait until 2026 in pocket 4-with-less DJI decides to push it out before the end of the year. We have already seen DJI launch its first 360 camera earlier in 2025, DJI Osmo 360.
