ISLAMABAD:
The federal government has revised the list of senior civil servants nominated for the National Management Course (NMC), a mandatory requirement for promotion to Grade 21, and is introducing further changes to the officers selected for the 124th NMC, it was revealed on Friday.
The Establishment Division has formally informed the National School of Public Policy (NSPP), Lahore, about the latest revisions. As part of the update, the nominations of seven officers have been withdrawn, while 14 additional officers have been included in the list.
The officials whose nominations have been withdrawn include joint secretary in the commerce ministry Kashif Gulzar and joint secretary in the home department Akhlaq Ahmed Qureshi. Also drawn are Commissioners Inland Revenue (IR) Karachi Zone-IV Shazia Abid and Shazia Memon, along with Commissioner Inland Revenue Karachi Hasnain Brohi. The list further includes Ejaz Ahmed Khan Yousafzai, Auditor Member of Appellate Tribunal Inland Revenue (ATIR) and Ehsanullah, Postmaster General, KP Circle, Peshawar.
Meanwhile, the officers newly nominated for the course include Joint Secretary, Finance Department Nasira Batool Jaffery, Director EPZA Karachi Ghulam Mustafa Wahucho and Joint Secretary IT Nazir Ahmed. Also nominated are Director Punjab Institute of Cardiology Lahore Hassan Latif and Acting National Coordinator SCO Farhat Ayesha.
Additional nominations include Irshad Hussain, Chief FBR; Muhammad Majid, Commissioner RTO Gujranwala; and Yasmin Fatima, Chief Commissioner Inland Revenue Gujranwala. The list also features Director Law Karachi Shakeel Ahmed Kisana.
