Naughty Dog is currently developing another unannounced game along with Intergalactic: The heretical prophet.
It is according to The last of us Creative Director Neil Druckmann, who shared in the latest episode of Press X to continue the podcast (via VGC) that he acts as a producer at the mystery’s game while also working on Intergalactic as an instructor.
“There is another game that is being worked on on Naughty Dog, where I am in more of a producer role, and I come to a mentor, see this other team and give feedback and is the executive in the room,” Druckmann said. “I enjoy all these roles, and the fact that I jump from one to the next, makes my job very exciting and always feel fresh. I’m never bored.”
Druckmann also confirmed who is working on Intergalactic Alongside him, including two wastage directors, Matthew Gallant and Kurt Margenau, as well as co -author Clair Carré.
“So there are times when I’m gone and they’re responsible and I’m coming back and being surprised and enjoying certain choices they’ve made and others, I pull out my hair and we have to change course or argue for it.”
VGC pointed out that this means Uncharted: The Lost Legacy Director Shaun Escayg and The last of us: Part 2 Director Anthony Newman is currently not affiliated with any announced title, suggesting that they could work on the new Mystery Project.
Whether it is The last of us: Part 3 Or something brand new we’ll have to wait and see.
