The last of us Season 2 is almost here. HBO’s incredibly popular TV adaptation of Naughty Dogs Hit Video Games will return to our screens on April 13 (USA) and April 14 (UK and Australia). There is no time like the present, so finding out who is part of its ensemble -role crew.
Below I have listed any actor that will appear in The last of us TV shows second chapter where you may have seen them before and what character they play. Once you reach the end of this guide, you will be an expert on the hit series character list.
So without a look here is all you need to know about who will appear in The last of us‘((Tlou) Sophomore season.
Pedro Pascal as Joel
Internet’s favorite Zaddy (not ask …), Pascal represents its role as one of Tlou‘s primary grades in season 2.
In the critically acclaimed Max Show’s latest chapter, Joel has become an integral part of Jackson, the Wyoming community. However, his surrogate relationship with Ellie has been strained in the five years (yet in the universe), since we last saw them-and it has nothing to do with what he did in the season 1 final. Expect it to come at some point this season.
As an actor, Pascal needs no introduction. After his eruption roles in Netflix’s Anesthetic TV series and HBOs Game of Thrones Adaptation, he has continued to appear in other projects, including MandalorianAt Gladiator IIand Wonder Woman 1984. He is also ready to play Reed Richards/Mister Fantastic in The Fantastic Four: First Stepsthat arrive at theaters on July 25.
Bella Ramsey as Ellie
The other protagonist in Tlou is Ellie who will be portrayed by Ramsey once again.
Season 2 will reunite us with an Ellie if in her late teens. She is as big as ever, but after making friends of her own age in Jackson, she not only spends less and less time with Joel, but apparently punishes him for reasons that have not yet been revealed. Tlou Season 2’s latest trailer confirmed that there will be a big showdown between the couple, so you need to better prepare for an incredibly heartbreaking scene at some point this season.
Like Pascal, Ramsey is a Game of Thrones Alumnus – It’s actually the show that marked her big acting debut. Since then she’s shown in Chicken driving 2At His dark materialsAt Catherine called Birdyand Becomes Elizabeth Among other films and TV productions.
Kaitlyn Dever as Abby
Deuteragonist from Naughty Dogs Split Games The last of us part IIHBO’s live-action summary will finally introduce us to Abby.
She is being played by No one will save you‘s kaitlyn derver and after the release of one of season 2’s latest teaser, some Tlou Fans are already worried about DEVER’s welfare. The reason? Abby is a very controversial figure among sections of the fan base. Let’s hope that Dever has the support structure around her to cope with any toxicity that comes her way.
For the uninitiated: Abby is a member of the militia group known as Fireflies. She is also the daughter of one of the members of the fraction who was murdered by Joel in the Season 1 final. Its follow -up will then see Abby embarking on a revenge mission, with Joel firmly planted in her cross hair.
DEVER was recently seen starring in Netflix’s Apple cider vinegar TV series. She has also appeared in Last man standingAt LongfulAt RosalineAt Good griefand BookSmart Among other productions.
Gabriel Luna like Tommy
Another recurring face, Lunas Tommy – alias Joel’s brother – has taken on a more central role in Jackson since Season 1 ended. In fact, he is now sitting in its advice. When he does not sort problems in the community, he either helps to bring up his son and as she continues to abolish Joel, another surrogate father becomes Ellie.
Best known for playing Robbie Reyes/Ghost Rider in Marvel’s Agents of shield TV -Show before he played Tommy in one of the best Max shows, Luna has also appeared in Real detectiveAt FUBARAt Wicked Cityand Terminator: Dark Fate.
Rutina Wesley as Maria
The fourth and final actor who repeats their season 1 role is Wesley’s Maria Tommy’s wife. She is also the democratically elected leader of Jackson’s advice and mother of their couple’s child.
An ordinary on the CWs Arrow Tv -show, viewers can recognize wesley from Hannibal‘s tv -adaptation, The Cleveland showand Outsiders. However, her most prominent role to date was in popular fantasy horror drama Real blood.
Isabela Merced like Dina
It is likely that the most important addition to the show’s role crew (outside Abby anyway) will be played by Isabela Merced.
Ellie’s closest friend and love interest, Dina is a free spirit that is also incredibly loyal to Ellie. However, fans of the Game Series’ second title will know that their relationship will be put to the test when the story takes place in this season’s seven-episode rate and potentially its still non-green-plated third season.
2024 was a breakout year for Merced, with the American-Peruvian actor with in Madame WebAt Turtles all the way downand Alien: Romulus. Before then she expressed Kate in Dora The Explorer: In the city!played the titular character in Dora The Explorer’s Live-Action movie, and appeared with DEVER I Rosaline.
Young Mazino as Jesse
Best known for producing Paul Cho in Season 1 of Netflix’s Recognized TV -Original Beef, Young Mazino is ready to play another of Ellie’s close friends Jesse in Tlou Season 2.
Jesse is a selfless person who always looks for Jackson’s younger citizens, Jesse is also Dina’s on-and-off girlfriend. Despite great spoilers, he will embark on a quest with Ellie and Dina, similarly testing his devotion to the former.
An actor whose roles came in lonely TV episodes until his breakthrough role in BeefMazino was last seen in A24 Psychological Thriller Opus, Which was not one of 2025’s best new films.
Danny Ramirez as Manny
One of four fireflies that joins Abby to search Se return for what Joel did in Season 1 Section 9, Manny is a loyal soldier whose greatest fear is to fail those he is closest to.
Fresh from making his Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) Big-Screen debut in Captain America: Brave New WorldRamirez plays Manny. Viewers know him from Top Gun: MaverickAt Falcon and the winter soldierand Black mirror.
Post-season 2, his next role will see him playing his MCU character Joaquin Torres/Falcon again in Avengers: Judgment DayWith the Marvel phase 6 movie to be released in May 2026.
Tati gabrielle like nora
Another member of Abby’s strike team, Nora is a military medicine struggling with the person she used to be. Tati Gabrielle will bring Nora to life in HBO’s TV adaptation.
Gabrielle is not unknown to many TV fanatics. In fact, she had significant roles in popular Netflix projects YouAt Kaleidoscopeand Sabrina’s cool adventure. Away from contributors to projects to the world’s best streaming service can Gabrielle also be seen in Sony’s Unprotected Movie and tv -show 100. She appears next time in Mortal Kombat 2 In October.
Spencer Lord as Owen
Allied number three of Abby’s, Owen is a gentle giant who, despite its caring nature and reluctance to fight, is forced to use his brute strength to take down his enemies. He is also the voice of reason in the group and ensures that the impulsive Abby does not bother when it is not necessary.
Spencer Lord that is most famous for TV shows Family Law and Heartlandwill portray Owen. He also played Terry in Riverdale, but it was only a two-episode stint on this program.
Ariela bars like flour
The last addition to Abby’s five-strong party, Mel, is a doctor who, while committed to his role as the group’s healer, is in conflict with her feelings about the war’s realities and the increasingly divisive nature of post-apocalyptic soil.
Maybe best known for playing Gert Yorkes in Marvel’s non-cannonian MCU-TV show RunawaysBars will make flour. Bars are also co-author and producer on critically acclaimed ECO-Action-thriller How to blow up a pipelineand also have contributing RebelAt Atypicaland 2021’s Saved by the clock Restart.
Jeffrey Wright as Isaac
The only star that played the same character that he expressed The last of us Game Series, Jeffrey Wright has been hired to play Isaac. A former American marine, Isaac, is the ruthless de-factor leader of another militia known as Washington Liberation Front.
Like Pascal, Wright needs no introduction. The beloved actor has appeared in cartoon movies and shows such as DC movies Batman and Disney+ Series What if …?as well as other popular franchises including The Hunger GamesAt James Bondand Westworld.
Catherine O’Hara as Gail
The only new character created to TlouTV TV adaptation is Gail a Jackson-based psychotherapist that Joel will confide in.
She is played by Catherine O’Hara, who was confirmed to play a supporting role in Season 2 last February. However, her character identity was kept a secret until a few weeks before Season 2’s release – in fact, HBO did not even reveal who she portrayed after the release of The last of us Season 2’s first trailer.
An iconic actor whose career spans 50 years of TV and movies, O’Hara is most famous for her roles in BeetlejuiceThe Home alone Movies and Nightmares before Christmas. Recently she has appeared in high rated Apple TV+ Show The studyUniversal images’ The wild robotand it criticized universal/apple-joint venture-flick Argylle.
Joe Pantoliano as Eugene
Eugene is a character that is only briefly referred to in Naughty Dog’s two games, a former Firefly who joined the Jackson community with Tommy. In HBO’s retelling, however, he will be Gail’s man. In about the same way as Bill and Frank’s history was widely expanded from the matches in Season 1 Section 3, Eugene’s back story will also be explored in depth in the TV show.
Pantoliano who played the chiffer in The matrix‘s original film trilogy and ralphie in The sopranoWalked aboard the project for many, many months ago. However, his commitment to HBO’s remake was only recently published.
The last of us season 2 will be released on Max (USA and Australia) and Sky/Now TV (UK).
