Despite The last of us Creator Neil Druckmann, who calls it finishes before the work is underway in Season 3, he has confirmed that he will still be involved at a “high level”.
So if you were in doubt that Season 3 possibly deviating from the post-apocalyptic world that Naughty Dog created, however, looks like The last of us Season 3 will continue to remain loyal to the loved games.
Druckmann, who confirms that his continued commitment is excellent news for the show, and hopefully that means its third chapter will remain in good hands.
In a speech with Variety, Druckmann said: “My hope for season three, and what I would like to think I can best contribute to it is to make sure it is as deeply faithful as the season one was.”
He added, “Because I feel like it, the gold standard is for this kind of adaptation while enjoying all these beautiful extensions that happen naturally with the rest of the team and how they work on season three. So this is where my commitment will remain at it very, very high level.”
By cleaning up to confuse why he left as a co-showrunner, Druckmann added, “It felt like I could better earn all my responsibility if I stayed at a higher level. It was quite challenging to be as involved as a co-showrunner in season 1 and season 2 while running a studio and working and writing and writing a game.”
What should we expect from the last of us season 3?
It’s no surprise that fans are eager to know more about one of the best HBO MAX shows. The last of us Season 2 has been nominated for 16 Emmy nominations (check out our weekend -streaming guide for more) and we all hope season 3 is just as celebrated.
The last of us season 3 is expected to focus on the “Seattle Day One” segment of the video game The last of us part 2. Here we focus on Abby’s history and the conflict between Washington Liberation Front (WLF) and the Serafites, as seen from her perspective.
Based on this, we expect to see some focus on Abby’s past, including her relationship with her father and her time in WLF.
At the time of writing, we are still waiting for an official plot to be advertised by HBO. So keep up!
