- Several iPhone Fold rumors have surfaced
- The screens are apparently going into mass production
- We expect a minimal curl
All evidence so far points to a 2026 launch for the much-anticipated iPhone Fold, and some fresh leaks over the past few days may have revealed a few key pieces of information about this Apple handset.
First, well-known tipster Instant Digital says that the Samsung-made screens for the foldable iPhone are entering the mass production stage, a sure sign that a device launch is coming in the next few months.
Second, another veteran leaker, Fixed Focus Digital, has written that the fold on the foldable iPhone will be flatter and less visible than many of the best foldable devices currently on the market.

The source says (via Google Translate) that the “industry perspective” is that “the first foldable iPhone display may have a flatness that exceeds that of many currently available domestically produced foldable display models”.
Curl up
We know from previous leaks that Apple has been keen to make the folder on the iPhone Fold as invisible as possible. In fact, this attention to detail may be part of the reason why it has taken Apple so long to launch a device in this particular category.
With that in mind, we can expect to see a fold disappear almost entirely on the foldable iPhone. Meanwhile, the Oppo Find N6 foldable will be launched in the coming days and will also bring an almost invisible fold with it.
Earlier this week, a report from South Korean outlet The Bell (via 9to5Mac) suggested that the foldable iPhone will come with 12GB of RAM and 256GB, 512GB or 1TB of storage. The starting price for 256GB is expected to be $1,999 in the US (roughly £1,510 / AU$2,860).
The foldable iPhone is expected to launch alongside the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max in September, and the introduction of Apple’s first foldable phone would certainly be a fitting way to mark the company’s 50th anniversary.
