The Madison Season 2: Key Info
– Season 2 was renewed before Season 1 even aired
– According to the cast, filming was completed in December 2025
– No confirmed release date or plot
– The main cast is expected to return
Taylor Sheridan can write female characters infuriatingly well, and that has never been more evident than in Madison.
After a family tragedy, the whole gang is uprooted, including reluctant daughters and granddaughters who have clearly never seen a blade of grass in their lives. What follows is a messy outpouring of grief, loss and love that immediately tugs at the heartstrings.

While it initially divided opinion from fans who expected something closer Yellowstonethe series was renewed for a second season long before the first saw the light of day.
A lot is still up in the air, but here’s what we know Madison season 2 so far.
Madison season 2 release window predictions
Not only is Madison season 2 confirmed, but it sounds like that has already been filmed as well.
“We’ve already shot Season 2,” star Ben Schnetzer told Woman’s World. “We just wrapped it not too long ago, and I’m incredibly excited to share both seasons with an audience. It was a real thrill to be able to go back and revisit these characters and revisit this story and revisit this beautiful landscape that we filmed in.”
This is an advantage that a Sheridan shows in the same position, Farmer season 3, has not. While a third season was confirmed during the release of the second, none of it has been filmed.
With that in mind, we could see the return of Madison season 2 before Farmer season 3, but when is anyone’s guess. It could be as soon as fall 2026, but my money is on spring 2027.
Madison Season 2 Trailer: Is There One?
Don’t be stupid. It took us until the end of February 2026 to get one for season 1, so expect the first full trailer to arrive about two weeks before the second season arrives.
Madison season 2 cast
We expect the following main cast members to return for Madison season 2:
- Michelle Pfeiffer as Stacy Clyburn
- Patrick J. Adams as Russell McIntosh
- Elle Chapman as Paige McIntosh
- Beau Garrett as Abigail Reese
- Amiah Miller as Brigitte Reese
- Alaina Pollack as Macy Reese
- Kevin Zegers as Cade
- Danielle Vasinova as Kestrel
- Ben Schnetzer as Van
- Rebecca Spence as Liliana
- Will Arnett as Stacy’s therapist
The question mark is around Kurt Russell and Matthew Fox, whose characters die in episode 1. We continue to see them in flashback form throughout the series, but whether that will be the case in season 2 remains to be seen.
We can also expect new faces to join the cast, so watch this space.
Madison season 2 plot predictions
Boring as it sounds, we can probably expect more of the same in Madison season 2. Grief is a never-ending thing, and the Clyburns will continue to soar and burn in Preston’s absence.
We know their move to Montana is permanent, so managing a wilder lifestyle will be a high priority. Stacy’s relationship with her daughters is likely to be as fraught as ever, and a transition period where she officially leaves her New York life is likely to throw up some new emotions as well.
As we saw in Season 1, Abigail and Van look set to be a will-they-won’t-they TV relationship that will last for years, so brace yourself for more burning passion there.
Of course, as they settle into society, new faces are likely to test them in unexpected ways.
