Many fatalities continue to come because of domestic violence against women. A tragic incident that was unfolded in Korangi on July 4, when a woman, Noor Ayesha, was brutally tortured, subconsciously knocked to drink acid from her husband and brother -in -law, resulting in her death.
The critically wounded woman was rushed to Jinnah Hospital, where she later succumbed to her injuries. Police have registered a murder case against the deceased man, Muhammad Ayub, and his brother Rafiq. However, both suspects have acquired bail before arrest.
According to FIR, filed by the victim’s father, Ali Akbar, Noor Ayesha had married Ayub for seven years and was the mother of two daughters. He accused that Ayub was involved in objectionable affairs, which often led to arguments and caused Noor to return to his home.
On the morning of July 4, Ali Akbar received a call informing him that his daughter had been assaulted and forced to take acid. Doctors confirmed that she died of an infection caused by the acid intake.
