HBO ‘coming Harry Potter TV show (it will also stream at HBO MAX), has finally found the crucial part of its role, after already signing up for a combination of Hollywood and British names for thrown adults.
Harry, Hermione and Ron have all been role -studded – and as you would expect for young children, they are pretty unknown names.
Dominic McLaughlin plays Harry Potter and is somehow already a veteran from ‘Kid goes to mysterious school for those with special skills’ genre after playing a role in the BBC TV series Giftedwhich was about kids with superpowers.
Arabella Stanton plays Hermione Granger and is also not new for acting after playing Matilda in the wonderful Matilda The Musical In London’s West End. She followed up with a role in Starlight Express On stage.
In the end, Alastair Stout will produce Ron Weasley and is remarkable among the three for the name of the name most as a character in the Harry Potter books. He seems to have the least functioning experience of the three, but has appeared in a potato advertising, which also somehow feels very appropriate for a character like Ron.
HBO’s TV adaptation is scheduled to start filming sometime in mid-2025, so they will have to get stuck in their textbooks ASAP to be ready to go. It is expected that the early books will also take one season each, so it will be interesting to see if HBO pumps out a new season annually to make sure this dishonest trio does not age out of the teenage roles they will soon grow into.
When we get the fourth book/season, we may find that things have to be divided across two parts. We get to see but the best streaming services love To divide seasons so you have to assume that will be the case here.
Who joins Harry, Ron and Hermione’s new actors in Harry Potter TV Show
The children join John Lithgow as Hogwarts’ Teacher Albus Dumbledore, PAAPA ESSIEDU as Severus Snape, Nick Frost as Rubeus Hagrid, Janet McTeer as Minerva McGonagall, Paul Whitehouse as Argus Filch and Luke Thallon as Quirinus Quirell.
There are a huge number of roles that have not yet been thrown, of course (at least not officially), ranging from the Weasley Sea Creatures to Neville Longbottom – but perhaps the biggest lack of role is Draco Malfoy.
We do not know exactly when the show will be released yet, but it is scheduled to arrive in 2026. Time will show if it will make it our best Max show list.
