- The next Nintendo Direct Showcase is allegedly set to air on September 12
- The presentation would be sent one day before Super Mario Bros.’40 -year anniversary, a perfect time to advertise a new game
- The release date for Metroid Prime 4: Beyond could also be advertised
A Nintendo Direct exhibition window is reportedly scheduled for broadcast next month.
According to several anonymous sources that told VGC that the next Nintendo presentation is scheduled for mid-September, specifically 12 September, although the details of what to expect are still under packaging.
A Nintendo content, ‘Switchforce’, also shared a post on X / Twitter that suggested that a directly sent out on the same date and writing: “Nintendo tried to call in an emergency about the missing Switch 2 games, but they accidentally called 912.”
It would not be unusual for a new direct to be held next month, except for 2024, they have been held every year since Nintendo’s presentations started.
This showcase in mid -September would also arrive just in time to Super Mario Bros.’40 -Year anniversary, which is September 13.
The fact that a directly jerked to take place so close to Mario’s birthday would be the perfect opportunity for Nintendo to advertise the next Super Mario Bros. Game for Switch 2 or even a potential remake of a previous post in the series.
There is also the question of other major switch games to receive release dates, namely Metroid Prime 4: Beyond. The game was announced in 2017, but was later restarted as a new project in 2019 under Retro Studios.
The last one we saw of the game was in June 2024 with a gameplay trailer and confirmation of a 2025 launch window for Nintendo Switch. Here hopes that the rumor Direct will offer a fixed release date and maybe even notice of a Switch 2 version.
