- We have another leak around the OnePlus Open 2
- Macrosupport on the telephoto camera is jerked
- The collapsible appears only when Oppo finds N5
Oppo has been busy teasing the upcoming Oppo Find N5, which will almost certainly be sold as the OnePlus Open 2 outside China, and the latest rumor suggests that the handset has a specific camera upgrade — an upgrade that even top-tier flagships Like e.g. The Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra does not offer.
According to the well-known tipster Smart Pikachu (via Android Authority), Oppo Find N5-and therefore will find OnePlus open 2-coming with macro photography support on its telecommunications lens, offering extra flexibility to close shots.
It means the ability to take close -ups without actually having to get close to what you are shooting – that’s the benefit of having macro -support on the telephoto camera instead of including in the primary camera.
While the feature is found on a pair of handsets, it’s not something that Samsung, Google or Apple has added their phones – so you could get more photo -phonics from the OnePlus Open 2 than Pixel 9 Pro or iPhone 16.
Rumors and teasing
We’ve seen lots of unofficial leaks and official teasing when it comes to this coincidental phone. Some serious upgrades are apparently on the way, including a large 5,900 mAh battery, waterproofing and a shock to the Snapdragon 8 elite chips from Qualcomm.
This will apparently be the thinnest folding to hit the market yet, and Oppo leaders have sent images showing how thin it will be-with a picture comparing it to the M4-driven iPad Pro from Apple.
What we are not sure of yet is exactly when the handset is launched, although it should not be far away now. A rumor has pointed to the OnePlus Open 2, which is on sale in the second half of 2025, although we hope to see it before.
As you can tell from our OnePlus Open Review, we are big fans of the original folding phone from OnePlus – and that means we look forward to seeing what a new and improved version brings to the best foldable market.
