‘The Pitt’ season 2 finale hits theaters ahead of HBO Max debut

The PittHBO Max’s Emmy-winning medical drama is breaking new ground with an early theatrical release of its Season 2 finale, teaming up with Alamo Drafthouse Cinema for nationwide screenings ahead of its streaming debut.

Warner Bros. Television and HBO Max have announced that the Season 2 finale of the The Pitt will be shown at select Alamo Drafthouse locations across the US on April 13th, three days before it premieres on HBO Max on April 16th.

The screenings are framed as a tribute to healthcare professionals, celebrating their dedication to communities across the country.

Active and retired healthcare professionals are encouraged to reserve seats with a $10 food and beverage voucher, while all attendees will be given exclusive The Pitt giveaways.

Participating theaters include venues in New York City, Boston, Raleigh, Naples, Dallas, Austin, Denver, San Francisco, the Twin Cities and Los Angeles.

R. Scott Gemmill’s The Pitt features Noah Wyle as Dr. Michael “Robby” Robinavitch.

The drama follows a team of healthcare professionals in Pittsburgh.

The ensemble cast includes Patrick Ball, Katherine LaNasa, Supriya Ganesh, Fiona Dourif, Taylor Dearden, Isa Briones, Gerran Howell, Shabana Azeez and Sepideh Moafi.

The series is produced by John Wells Productions and Warner Bros. Television and has become a critical darling, winning five Emmy Awards for its first season, including Outstanding Drama Series and Lead Actor for Wyle.

It also won a Golden Globe for Best Drama Series and was named one of AFI’s Top Ten Television Programs of 2025.

With Season 3 already greenlit, the theatrical rollout of the Season 2 finale reflects the series’ cultural impact and HBO Max’s push to create event-style experiences around its most famous titles.
