On Friday night, the government wrote the prices of the oil products for the next 15 days, while the oil and gas regulation authority (OGRA) reduced the frequency of liquid petroleum gas (LPG) for March, according to separate messages.

The finance department said in a press release that the price of high -speed diesel (HSD) was reduced by RS5.31 per year. Liter, engine spirit (gasoline) with RS0.50 per Liter, paraphin oil with RS3.53 and light diesel fuel (LDO) with RS2.47. Separately informed OGRA a reduction of RS6.15 per Kg in the price of LPG.

“Oil & Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has reviewed and adjusted consumer prices for oil products considering the recent fluctuations in the international oil market,” the Financial Division said. Prices came into effect from midnight Friday and would be effective until February 15.

According to the press release, the price of HSD was cut from RS263.95 to RS258.64; MS (gasoline) went down from RS256.13 to RS255.63, superior paraphin oil from RS171.65 to RS168.12 and LDO from RS155.81 to RS153.34.

Meanwhile, the speed of a domestic use of the LPG cylinder dropped with RS72.57 according to the OGRA message. The message said the price of LPG rate for March would be RS247.82 per year. Kg. Therefore, an 11 kg cylinder would cost RS2.924.31, down from RS2,996.88 during February.

LPG, also known as cooking gas or container gas, is widely used in Pakistan as an alternative fuel primarily for household and commercial cooking. In addition, it serves as an energy source in the automotive industry, industrial applications and power production.
