The prime minister says ties with Turkiye entered a new era

ISLAMABAD:

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said on Wednesday that Pakistan-Turkey relations have entered a new era of strategic partnership under the “wise” guidance of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

The Prime Minister, who is currently on a three-day visit to Saudi Arabia, said in his message on the 102nd Republic Day of Turkiye celebrated today that the two countries were striving together to unleash the immense potential of the time-tested and enduring ties in all areas of mutual interest.

“On the auspicious occasion of the 102nd Republic Day in Turkiye, I join the people of Pakistan in extending our warmest congratulations to my dear brother President Erdogan and to the brotherly people of Turkiye,” he wrote on his X timeline.

He said Turkey’s remarkable transformation and economic resurgence under President Erdogan’s bold and dynamic leadership over the decades had earned global admiration.

“We take great pride in the achievements of our Turkish brothers and remain their steadfast partners in this journey of progress. Pakistan and Turkiye are united by bonds of faith, history and brotherhood that transcend geography and time,” Prime Minister Shehbaz remarked.
