Magtringe Season 3 is officially under development at Amazon MGM Studios.
In one of the most surprising revelations of 2025 so far, Prime Video’s largest TV-original is set to deliver more high-fantasy tension and waste in another installment. Main photography is set to begin in the spring (it is autumn for readers of the southern hemisphere), and per. Season 3’s official login will “jump for several years” from its predecessor. The war on the elves and Sauron will be in full swing at the start of next season, while the creation of a particular ring is well underway.

The message that was made today (February 13) confirms that Amazon is moving on with a third chapter of its Lord of the Rings Prequel series, but true, the show’s renewal has been a prior conclusion for some time.
Six months have passed since Magtringe Season 2 debuted on our screens, so some viewers may have started to worry that Prime Video’s most expensive series would be the latest program canceled before its time. However, Showrunner’s JD Payne and Patrick McKay told them they “already worked” in Season 3, so I was always convinced it would return.
Admittedly, the work performed Magtringe‘s next season did not guarantee that one of the best prime video shows would be renewed. Nevertheless, the confidence shown by Payne and McKay during our conversation, combined with the amount of script work done six months ago, means another trip to Middle-Earth was far more likely than not.
In an Amazon MGM Studios declaration that accompanies the disclosure, the leader of TV Vernon Sanders said: “Lord of the Rings: Magtringe Continuing to capture the audience all over the world and we are glad that a third season is underway. The creative team has an extraordinary vision of what comes with stories that have left us enchanted and fascinated. We look forward to continuing this epic journey, for our global customers, covering even deeper into the legendary stories that shaped Middle-Earth. “

While there were no role crews, newcomers or otherwise, Amazon confirmed that next season probably eight-episoded rate will be helped by three instructors. Charlotte Brändström and Samaa Hamri, who monitored several episodes for Season 2, return as part of the filmmaking team. They get together with Stefan Schwartz, a veteran of film and TV whose credits include LutherAt Fear The Walking Deadand My lady Jane. As I mentioned, filming will begin before rather than later, and as season 2 it will be shot at the Amazon-owned Shepperton Studios in England.
