- The driving time for Avengers: Doomsday‘s first trailer has apparently been revealed
- If true, it will be the shortest teaser for an Avengers movie
- Disney will screen the footage prior to public screenings of Avatar: Fire and Ashes
The first teaser for Avengers: Doomsday is getting ever closer – and thanks to a new list of rating boards, we might know just how long it will last.
As spotted by the AvengersUpdated X/Twitter fan account, the Marvel movie’s first trailer recently appeared on South Korea’s Media Rating Board. And while it doesn’t contain any major cast or story spoilers, it does appear to confirm its official runtime.

In fact, clicking on the aforementioned Korean language link almost confirms that it was long overdue The Marvel Phase 6 movie’s first teaser will clock in at one minute and 25 seconds. If true, it will be the shortest trailer for a movie starring Earth’s Mightiest Heroes.
Frankly, we shouldn’t expect Avengers 5s introductory trailer to be longer. Avengers: Doomsday won’t hit theaters until December 18, 2026, so this teaser will be just that: a teaser to further generate hype for one of next year’s most exciting new films.
The good thing about this seemingly almost 90 second teaser is that it should give us some actual footage to take a closer look at.
At the beginning of October, when the rumors began to spread it Avengers: Doomsday‘s trailer would arrive in late 2025, I thought we shouldn’t expect too much from it. In fact, I suggested we’d get no more than a 60-second video that would largely include clips from previous Avengers movies and/or key Multiverse Saga movies and Disney+ shows, before ending with a brief shot of Doctor Victor von Doom.
Admittedly, another 30 seconds doesn’t guarantee that the trailer will consist entirely of footage from Doomsday. However, the prospect of the teaser running for more than a minute gives me hope that it will follow in the footsteps of Avengers: Endgame‘s first teaser, which followed the plan outlined in the above section.
Does the Avengers: Doomsday trailer have a release date yet?
Of course, all eyes are now on the trailer launch date. We know that Doomsday‘s first teaser will arrive before the end of 2025, with the trailer set to run ahead of public screenings of Avatar: Fire and Ashes. And while there were murmurs that Doomsday‘s initial trailer would receive its worldwide premiere at Brazil Comic-Con 2025 last weekend (December 5-7), the event passed with a sniff of any footage.
So when could it be released? The latest rumor is that it might drop sometime this week, with some insiders suggesting a December 11 launch. However, considering Supergirl‘s first trailer is also expected to arrive on that date, it won’t be in Marvel’s or DC Studios’ interest in teasers for DC Universe (DCU) and Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) movies debuting on the same day. So don’t be surprised if one starts earlier or later than the other.
While we wait for those trailers to drop, read up on everything we know so far Avengers: Doomsday and what we know about Supergirl.
