Islamabad:
The Senate Functional Committee on Human Rights dived into growing tendency to use drugs among the students and the steps made by the relevant departments to prevent this threat.
The meeting was led by Senator Samina Mumtaz Zehri. The officials said in the Prime Minister’s instructions that they had begun campaign campaign for drugs in the 237 universities across the country back in February 2024.
In Pakistan, about 170 million students aged 18 to 31 were found vulnerable to drugs caused by Pakinomist proximity of the country. In this campaign, anf 31 drug traffickers, along with 140 kg, uncovered the drugs seized at 235 universities.
