The US Embassy in Islamabad has heavily condemned the terrorist attack on the Jaffar Express train in Balochistan and expresses sympathy and compassion for the victims of the “horrible act.”
The attack, carried out by gunmen on Tuesday afternoon, took place in a remote mountainous area of Balochistan Province and was immediately claimed by the Baloch Liberation Army (bla).
The assailants forced the train to stop and took hundreds of passengers hostage. Security sources report that at least 30 terrorists were killed and 190 passengers were rescued when security operations against attackers continued another day on Wednesday.
“We are strongly condemning the attack on the Jaffar Express train and the hostage of passengers in Kacchi, Balochistan required by Baloch Liberation Army, a US-specially appointed global terrorist group,” the US Embassy said in a statement published on X.
“We expand our deepest sympathy and compassion for the victims, their families and all those affected by this horrible act. The Pakistani people deserve to live free from violence and fear. The United States will remain a steadfast partner in Pakistan in his efforts to ensure the security and security of all its citizens. We are in solidarity with Pakistan in this difficult time, ”it added.
In a separate statement, China also condemned the terrorist attack. Spokesman for Chinese Foreign Ministry, Mao Ning, expressed Peking’s firm opposition to terrorism in all its forms, confirms China’s support for Pakistan to combat terrorism and ensured citizens’ security.
“We strongly condemn this terrorist attack. China opposes terrorism in any form. We will continue to support Pakistan in combating terrorism, maintaining solidarity and social stability and protecting people’s security, ”Mao Ning said during a regular press conference on Wednesday.
