US state department spokesman Tammy Bruce has refused to comment on a question regarding former Prime Minister Imran Khan, stating that the US government is not involved in the internal issues in other countries.

During a briefing, a journalist Bruce asked about the situation of the PTI founder, which she replied that the United States did not offer comments on domestic questions about foreign nations.

“I don’t want to comment on the internal framework in another country,” Bruce said.

Bruce also clarified that for information about President Donald Trump’s views, investigations must be directed to the White House.

She also reiterated that both President Trump and Secretary of State Marco Rubio have consistently emphasized that the United States is interested in global issues and its neighbors’ welfare.

“The United States are focused on what is happening globally,” Bruce added, reflecting on the US broader foreign policy approach.

She completed the answer by thanking the journalist and moving on to the next question during the briefing.

For the second case is in two weeks that the spokesman has avoided tackling the case.

During a media brief on March 6, a question of potential support was raised to Imran Khan of US President Donald Trump, but the spokesman did not choose to comment on the issue at that time.
