The US second Lady Usha Vance has been elected to lead the presidential delegation to Italy for 2025 Special Olympics World Winter Games, President Donald Trump’s office announced on Thursday.
Vance will lead the delegation to Turin, Italy, the host city for this year’s game. The opening ceremony is scheduled for Friday.
Usha is a lawyer married to Vice President JD Vance since 2014. They have three children.

Usha was sitting next to former high school volleyball player Payton McNabb at Trump’s address for a joint session of Congress on Tuesday night. McNabb told Pakinomist Digital that she was “Heart Bridge” when she learned Trump’s executive orders for transnry athletes’ participation in women’s and girls sports, was not codified in the law of the Senate.

“Last night, just in general, the Democratic Party was so disrespectful,” McNabb said, referring to members of the party wearing pink during the congress’s joint session.
“And they did not stand up to any of the guests. They did not stand up to DJ Daniel, the young boy who survived brain cancer. They did not stand up to the Lake Riley’s family, whose daughter literally suffered a traumatic death that should never have happened. And any other guest there was there had a kind of powerful story, and they did not clap any of it.”

“So it was heartbreaking, and honestly I wish I could say I was surprised, but I am not,” she concluded.
