A worker in Karachi was shot by a robber while trying to over -the -latter, with the tragic incident caught on CCTV.
The fatal shooting took place in Korangi No. 2.5, where the 38-year-old Saadullah grabbed a fugitive thief from his motorcycle in an attempt to stop him.
Recordings show the robber struggling to reload his weapon before opening fire.
Saadullah fell to the ground as the robber fired several shots before trying to escape.
Facilizers later caught the suspect and attacked him, but his accomplice managed to escape on a motorcycle.
Police said the suspect was handed over to the authorities and that an investigation is underway.
Officials have called on citizens to avoid direct confrontation with armed criminals.

Earlier this week, a Rickshaw driver fled with a family’s dowry topics in Karachi’s Nazimabad area, causing the victims to be concerned weeks before a wedding.
CCTV recordings of the incident have emerged on social media, which receives calls for police action.
According to the affected family, the incident took place as they hired a rickshaw from a market in Liaquatabad to transport household items to Orangi Town.
The stolen goods included tools and other dowry essentials bought for an upcoming wedding.
Bilal, the victim’s brother, told police that his mother and aunt accompanied the dowry.
“We were agreed on a fare with the Rickshaw driver, loaded the objects inside and bonded some on the roof. But when we reached Nazimabad number 4, he forced them to get off and went away with everything,” he said.
CCTV recordings show the suspect, dressed in a brown Shalwar Kamez trying to avoid security cameras and get suspicion that he had planned the theft in advance.
The family has appealed to the authorities to take quick actions and restore the stolen dowry points before the wedding later this month.
