Promotes the message of hope, peace, unity through carols and cultural performances

ISLAMABAD:
The Youth Development Association organized a lively and spirit-filled Christmas celebration that brought together slum children, a primary school, partner institutions and media representatives to commemorate the true message of Christmas – hope, peace and joy.
The program began with a welcome message and highlighted the importance of Christmas as a time of light, togetherness and compassion. This was followed by a prayer seeking blessings for peace and harmony.
A Bible reading and reflection from Isaiah was presented, emphasizing the message of light overcoming darkness and the promise of hope for all mankind.
The cultural segment featured a series of engaging and heartwarming performances by students from St Mary’s Education Centre. An Urdu carol was performed jointly by Youth Development Association (YDA) youth.
Students from St Mary’s School presented a carol and a tableau, followed by a meaningful birthday performance by the Sunday School of St. Paul’s Orthodox Church.
The audience was further delighted by a carol performed with musical instruments by St Mary’s pupils, as well as another carol and tableau presented by Sunday school children, showing the enthusiasm and talent of young participants. The celebration continued with a YDA staff performance of an English carol that reflected teamwork and festive spirit.
