- Nintendo of America President Doug Bowser has discussed Switch 2 share
- He said there are already ‘some’ delivery of units in the US
- This may be good news for those who are concerned about stock problems or the impact of customs rates
Earlier this week we learned that Nintendo Switch 2 pre -orders would be delayed in the US.
In a statement made to Techradar Gaming, Nintendo stated that “Pre -orders for Nintendo Switch 2 in the United States will not start April 9, 2025 to assess the potential impact of tariffs and developing market conditions.”
Although we know that the launch date of June 5, 2025 has not yet changed yet, this decision has resulted in some fear of potential share problems with regard to the console and the possibility of steep price increases due to the costs associated with customs.
In a recent interview with CNBC, Nintendo of America President Doug Bowser offered some insurance policies. While “it’s back to see” whether the company will be able to meet demand, Bowser says it’s “definitely our goal.”
“We have had some time to build inventories on a world basis,” he revealed. “The [have] Even landed already, some in the United States. “
In addition to potentially avoiding a scenario of consumers struggling to get their hands on a Nintendo Switch 2, this existing stock could help prevent some of the biggest effects of new tariffs from becoming clear – at least in the short term.
Goods already in the United States are not subject to any import tariffs. If this supply is large enough, the tide can buy us buying over until the situation changes. We just have to wait and see.
When pre -orders open in the US, Nintendo Switch costs 2 $ 449.99 / £ 395.99 or $ 499.99 / £ 429.99 for a bundle that also contains a digital copy of Mario Kart World.
