- DJI Dock 3 supports vehicle mounted implementation and double drone rotations
- Supports obstacle-sensing Lidar, spotlight with high intensity and real-time sound
- Designed for continuous air monitoring and monitoring
DJI has introduced its first “drone-in-a-box” system, DJI Dock 3, designed for continuous remote operations under demanding conditions and autonomous drone aircraft.
It supports an IP56 rating for dust and water resistance and works in temperatures from -30 ° C (-22 ° F) to 50 ° C (122 ° F).
DJI, known for advanced drone technology in products such as DJI Flip and DJI Mini 4K, designed Dock 3 to support implementation on moving vehicles, as opposed to dock 2, which only supports fixed installations.
Long flight time and advanced imaging
The dock system allows two devices to be mounted on a single vehicle, enabling rotations with double drone without interruption, while the horizontal and cloud-based dock placement calibration improves accuracy during operation.
However, for fixed installations, the D-RTK 3 relay fixed version improves video transfer and satellite signal stability by reducing the interference.
DJI Dock 3 is equipped with Matrix 4D and 4TD drones, both assessed IP55 for dust and water resistance. These drones offer a future time of up to 54 minutes and a hovering time of 47 minutes.
Matrice 4D is optimized for mapping and surface inspections with a 24 mm wide camera with a 4/3 cmos sensor, an adjustable aperture from f/2.8 to f/11 and a 20MP resolution. It also includes a 70 mm medium telecommunications camera with a 1/1.3-inch CMOS sensor at F/2.8 and a 48MP resolution along with a 168 mm tele camera with a 1/1.5-inch CMOS sensor at F/2.8 and 48MP.
Matrice 4TD is designed for emergency, infrastructure inspections and missions of public security. It has a smaller 24 mm wide camera with a 1/1.3-inch CMOS sensor at F/1.7 and 48MP resolution together with the same telecommunications and medium-sized telecameras as Matrice 4D.
Matrice 4TD also includes an infrared thermal camera and an almost infrared auxiliary light that is capable of illuminating up to 100 meters, providing improved visibility for black and white night vision.
This setup comes with DJI RC PLUS 2 Enterprise Controller, enabling the deadly drone operation and airborne relay -a drone can serve as a relay to another that extends the operational interval, even in hindered areas without a 4G signal.
It also integrates with braidthub 2 for automated aircraft routes, object tracking and infrared anomalid detection. It supports an intelligent change detection function that allows automated periodic analysis of an area that helps with environmental surveillance and disaster responses.
Dock 3 supports additional accessories, including an obstacle-sensing module with Lidar and Radar for improved navigation, a gimbal-subsequent limelight with 100 meters of lighting and a real-time speaker with a 300 meter range and 114DB output. It also supports third-party payload via DJI’s E-Port and PSDK interface.
Dock 3 ensures data security with opt-in sharing, AES-256 encryption and ISO certifications. US users cannot sync Floating Files and data can be deleted upon request. Flight Termination System (FTS) enables manual or automatic shutdown of drone for C6 compliance.
Prices have not been published in public, but it can be purchased through authorized DJI business dealers.
