Leakies suggest that – along with discreet black, white and dark blue shades – iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max can be sold in Orange, and now a video has given us our best look yet on a dummy device in that color.
Shared by Leaker Majin BU you can see that this is quite a striking shade, and far more colorful than Apple’s Pro models tend to be. Whether it is a good color is more debatable – BU says it “looks so good”, but many of the answers to their posts are much more negative.
@Anxiousholly, for example, said “This looks abhorrent” while @Black0nder said “the worst color in the iPhone story”. But @ysl_laurentttt said “Let it be official and I’ll get the 17 pro” and @agnons said “If it really looks like that, it could be the winner of this year’s upgrade.” So this really seems to be a love-it-or-had-it-shade.

A good move
However, whatever you think of this specific color choice, we will say that it is a positive sign that Apple may be offering such a shade as it may mean that the company becomes more comfortable with the idea that its pro phones do not always need to be sold in smart, discreet nuances.
We have long called for more colorful Premium phones, so maybe Apple is finally listening. But whether we want to see more depends on how well this orange nuance sells.
And it assumes that Apple is really launching an iPhone 17 -Pro in this color. For the time being, we would take this rumor with a pinch of salt, but we had to find out soon when the iPhone 17 series probably lands in early September, with a leak pointing to September 9.
