Getting all the dust and dirt out of carpeted floors can be a challenge for any vacuum cleaner. You need enough suction to pull up the particles, but not so much that the vacuum gets stuck in the fibers. This balance is especially difficult when you are dealing with deep pile carpets.
The challenge can be even greater for robotic vacuums – even some of the best robovacs struggle to really deep clean carpets, and many can’t handle thick piles at all. Enter: the Roborock Qrevo Curv 2 Pro to save the day.
This is one of Roborock’s 2026 fleet of robovacs, and it’s an absolute powerhouse when it comes to cleaning carpets. It was revealed at the end of last year, but it’s only now coming to the UK. You can now buy it via Amazon.co.uk or direct from Roborock for £1,199.99.
(Expensive, yes, but not wildly overpriced for the amount of technology crammed here. Also, it’s rare for Roborock models—or robot vacuums of any brand, really—to stay at list price for long. If you’re patient just a little longer, I suspect we’ll start seeing some discounts.)
At TechRadar, we test all our robotic vacuum cleaners on medium- and deep-pile carpets and measure how well they pick up fine and coarse particles. The Qrevo Curv 2 Pro absolutely soared through this part of our review. My tester commented that the pickup on the center carpet was “extraordinary” and “some of the best [he’d] seen”. He was equally impressed with its cleaning performance on thick carpet.
A little lift
The Qrevo Curv 2 Pro boasts a near industry-leading 25,000 Pa of suction power, but that’s not the only reason for its exceptional carpet suction performance. It has a clever feature that enables it to raise itself to just the right height for the floor it’s cleaning to deliver efficient pick-up without getting stuck. It is part of the ‘AdaptiLift 3.0’ setup.
The ‘AdaptiLift’ feature refers to the small stilts that can extend to lift the robot vacuum up. Originally designed to help boost Roborock’s bots over high room thresholds, they still have that functionality, but now they also help it handle thick carpet. There are a number of preset heights and the bot can choose exactly the right one for the floor it needs to clean.
In fact, the Qrevo Curv 2 Pro is not the only model to feature the AdaptiLift 3.0 functionality – it also appears on the Saros 20 and 20 Sonic robot vacuums (reviews forthcoming). If you’re not sure the Curv 2 Pro is the right robovac for you, there are other options to choose from, but you’ll have to hang on a little longer as none of these models have arrived in the UK yet.
