- Preventive Pro 3 Storyboarding -Software is available now
- A free level of hobbyists and beginners has also been revealed
- Animatics brings 3D animation to storyboards along with light class for professional lighting scenes
Storyboarding Software Developer Previs Pro has announced a number of new features with the release of PreForis Pro 3.
Topping of the bill is the unveiling of a new free level that gives users access to pro-level-precisualization tools without having to sign up for a test or subscription.
But it is not the only new feature that makes a large input into the Digital Storyboarding app, which is available across the Apple Desktop and mobile devices.
What is new in Previs Pro 3?
For me, it is the introduction of a free level plan designed for independent filmmakers, hobbyists and students who are really attractive here.
As you would expect, there are some limits, but according to the company “Free Plan users can generate unlimited watermark storyboards, use up to three AI-generated props and create an animatic sequence.”
To put it into perspective, currently paid subscribers can expect to pay $ 35 a month for a single project or $ 200 a year (or a one -time fee of $ 400) for full access.
From what I can see, while the monthly costs have fallen by five dollars in the release of Prech Pro 3, prices for the annual and eternal license have increased by $ 80 and $ 100 respectively.
And have you seen that word in the quote above?
Animatic.
It is the new headline feature in Previs Pro 3, with animatics that lets users storyboard animated scenes with control of camera angles, actors, props and lighting.
The company notes very much that these new tools provide an easier way to bring your creative vision on screen without the notorious steep learning curve that I will typically associate with most of the best video editing software.
Next to animatics comes the full release of light class. Coming out of beta gives the tool creators control over all aspects of lighting, with the ability to change time, tone and mood that fits the stage. These adjustments can be made through manual control or via AI-driven prompt.
Previs Pro 3 is now available for iPad, iPhone and MacOS devices (sorry Windows users). You can check it out by clicking here.
