- Creative Stage Pro is a compact but powerful 2.1 sound bar
- Shiftable near -field or remote listening modes
- Start “Around” August 19 for £ 139 / $ 169
As much as I love a huge neighbor-scary sound system, some of the best sound beams are too big, too powerful and too expensive for more modest spaces and setups or for use with a desktop PC. Creative’s New Stage Pro is a compact sound bar designed for the more modest spaces and budgets, and it promises trembling sound from a relatively small footprint.
The unique selling point here is Creative’s Superwide, as it says, the audio scene is expanding beyond the physical limits of the sound beam to deliver an “unexpectedly expansive and spatial listening experience.”
Creative Stage Pro: Key features and pricing
The specification here is impressive: There are 160W of Peak Power (80W RMS) through a Dolby Audio / Dolby Digital Plus 2.1 speaking setup that includes a long-thrown subwoofer; HDMI ARC with CEC; Bluetooth 5.3; and optical, AUX and USB connection.
There are two listening modes: Near field for desktop/close -up listening and remote field for living rooms and similar spaces.
It is all packed in the frame of a grain box -shaped subwoofer, which is only 42 cm / 16.5 inches deep, and the sound beam itself, which is 55 cm / 21.6 inches wide and 11 cm / 4.4 inches deep.
This looks like a great opportunity for players, student accommodation and smaller apartments, and it is also priced: the official price is £ 139.99 / $ 169.99 (approx. AU $ 288) – however in the UK, Creative offers the moment it for £ 129.99.
